The Netatmo weather station is a fun way to monitor your weather and overall comfort level. it offers a way to monitor your temperature and indoor environment. It is important to focus on the overall climate and not just the temperature – things like temperature, CO2, sound levels, and humidity levels.
The inner weather geek in you will enjoy the ability to view graphs of all of the readings. this allows you to tailor a series of graphs to see how the readings change throughout the day (and week). This can be done for both the indoor and outdoor modules so have the ability to see things like the Co2 levels (indoors) throughout the day – and other cool options.
Notes-
– The outdoor unit is completely wireless and requires AA batteries
- The indoor unit can be run on AA batteries or plugged into a standard wall outlet
- The iPhone/iPad app is very intuitive and easy to use. It really is a powerful weather app… your inner weather geek will be very happy.
- In addition to the conditions within your home the NetAtmo also provides you with you an extended forecast.
- Accuracy seems to be very good.
- You will need to keep the outdoor unit out of the sun and rain. Direct sun light will cause the weather station to give you false high readings while rain will wreck it.
- It would be great if it did come with a rainfall gauge… maybe that can be added at a later date.
Final verdict – The Urban Weather Station by NetAtmo is a great way to monitor your total local environment. The graphs and level of detail will appeal to the inner weather geek in everyone.

The Netatmo station looks nice, and I find it interesting to have graphs of outdoors temperatures, and a good thing to get accurate numbers of indoor CO2 levels under various conditions and settings (of doors and windows etc).
I may wish it was more specific in the reporting about which specific factors make the indoor air less than desireable, or tell more than one of the outdoor pollutants.
The iPhone and iPad apps are beautiful. (Though the text is a bit small on the iPhone for us with middle-aged eyes. This applies to the October 2012 version, they seem good at upgrading.)
It’s a great idea that you can compress the graphs in time just by pinching them. See more time at once.

|A Must Have !,
I was initially interested in NetAtmo as we just had a baby and I wanted to monitor our air quality. I must say that I am impressed by the product across the board, the weather part is great too !
It is extremely easy to set up, the iPhone app is well designed and the explanation on the CO2, Humidity and barometric readings are very clear.
