Be careful with this little gnome,
My wife bought me this gnome as a present, and we placed it in the yard. It drew a comment or two from my neighbors, who liked his looks. He looks great in the yard, a nice quality addition to our flower bed.
Well, looks can be deceiving…..
A month or so later, my neighbor, a fellow fan of baseball, received a gardne gnome of his own, except it was a Red Sox gnome. All was well for a few days, until my neighbor told me that his gnome was covered in mud the last few days. That would be ok, except his gnome is in flower bed with mulch…..how’d he get covered in mud? Well, he washed him off and put him back in the flower bed.
After a few weeks of my gnome being in the front yard, I started to notice that his location would change subtly. Each day, he seemed to be a little further from his original placement. He seemed to be looking right into my neighbror’s yard. Hmmmmmm
Two weeks later, my neighbor asked me if I had seen his gnome. He assumed that living in NJ, some teenagers had played a prank and took his gnome. So he bought another and placed it in his yard. That one disappeared a few weeks later, never to be seen.
This fall, I was cleaning up the yard, getting rid of all the leaves and such. I figured that I would take my gnome in and bring him in the garage for the winter. When I picked him up, I noticed a few chunks of broken porcelain under his base…….One piece had the distinct red capital B of a Red Sox cap.
What do I do?

|Small and cute!,
The figurine is lightweight, probably wouldn’t ever put it outside but it was a great decoration for my brother in law’s “yankee” room. Good value.
