The pilot episode of Last Man Standing feels like Tim Allen bringing back his role from Home Improvement, except now he has three daughters instead of three sons.
Allen plays a father of 3 and a man’s man. Allen’s character works for an outdoor company, traveling to exotic sites to prepare the company’s catalog. When the company shifts to a modern, blog-based approach and cancels the catalog, Allen gets shifted to filming web episodes to advertise the company’s products. In those videos, Allen rants about metrosexual men who would rather go tanning than hunting, and he quickly draws a large following.
Allen’s three daughters range from a Kardashian-in-training to a tomboy soccer player. Much of the pilot episode focuses on Allen’s attempts to connect with each, as they struggle with children and boyfriends he doesn’t understand.
For those that enjoyed Home Improvement and Tim “The Toolman” Taylor, you’ll love seeing Tim Allen bring that same personality back to life. The show isn’t always politically correct, but it will keep you laughing.

This is a funny show. Can’t wait to see them all – Will probably wait until I can see them for free on Hulu (or hopefully through Amazon on my Kindle).
