holiday music to cherish– THANK YOU, BLAKE !!!,
Blake Shelton’s latest release, a CD of holiday music entitled “Cheers, it’s Christmas,” is one of the best holiday albums ever! Blake sings these really well and the duets are pretty special, too. “Jingle Bell Rock” features Miranda Lambert singing her heart out with Blake and that music fits in perfectly with their vocals. Blake does a superb job on “Oklahoma Christmas” which also features Reba and he sings “White Christmas;” with genuine passion. I love it! The other tunes include “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!;” the charming “There’s A New Kid In Town” that has Blake singing with Kelly Clarkson; “Santa’s Got A Choo Choo Train;” “Home” that has Blake Shelton performing with Michael Bublé; “Winter Wonderland;” Blake’s awesome version of `The Christmas Song;” the excellent “Blue Christmas” featuring Pistol Annies; the poignant “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” which is one of my very favorite holiday tunes; “Silver Bells,” a duet done by Blake and Xenia; “Time For Me To Come Home” that Blake performs with mom Dorothy Shackleford and “The Very Best Time Of Year” which shows just how well Blake performs with Trypta-Phunk.
This is a must have for Blake’s fans everywhere; and people who appreciate excellent holiday music will not be disappointed!

Great country Christmas album,
This is my first Blake Shelton CD and it might not be my last. I am not a huge country fan. I have seen Blake on The Voice, I love Christmas, and the convergence of those two facts convinced me that I should give this CD a listen.
The emotion in Blake’s voice really comes through. He feels these lyrics. The most moving song is the reworked Home with Michael Buble. I honestly don’t think much about Michael B but I love the two of them together on this song.
I own a ton of Christmas music, and honestly I have enough versions of White Christmas, Winter Wonderland, etc., in every genre to last a lifetime. What makes this CD for me are the unusual songs. In addition to Home, I also love Oklahoma Christmas (with Reba), Santa’s Got a Choo-Choo Train, and Time for Me to Come Home. I think Blake does something special with I’ll Be Home for Christmas, and I do love his version of Jingle Bell Rock with wife Miranda Lambert. Probably 8 of the tracks on this generous 14-track effort are really special.
It is part of the drill for an artist to introduce a Christmas record with some version of “Since I was a little kid, I have always loved Christmas.” Scotty McCreery says pretty much the same thing. Blake proves his love of Christmas with this record – the joy and passion are right there to hear. Scotty’s effort is a little more pedestrian, I’m sorry to say.
So far for me this is the best new Christmas record of the season.

Early Christmas,
I hadn’t planned on buying the whole album (MP3) but ended up doing just that because the songs are awesome. Thanks for starting my season early, never too soon!
