Updated review.,
I wasn’t really impressed with this book at first. My baby, who was 7 months old at the time, wasn’t very interested. Now that he’s 11 months old and is full “explorer” mode, he likes this book a lot. Its the perfect size for him to hold and the pictures are very simple, not overwhelming (remember these are babies. It may not be appealing to an adult…). Sometimes I find him quietly sitting on the floor turning the pages and looking. When my 2 year old niece comes over she likes to “read” it to him since its simple enough for her to explain. Sometimes less is more!

Just OK,
I ordered this to read to my seven month old for her first St. Patrick’s Day. Each page consists of a picture and a word or two. Though my daughter looks at the pictures and does sit still while I read to her, there really is only something to feel on every other page. And even then, the textures are nothing to write home about and the pictures are mostly not impressive. She doesn’t seem to even realize there is anything to touch on the pages. She has other touch and feel books that she does reach out for and knows where the textures are on the page, so it isn’t that she doesn’t understand the concept. It just doesn’t feel like there was much effort put into producing this book.

Meeeh.,
I like this book because it’s all about St. Patty’s day, but was disappointed with the lack of “touch & feel” pages. Nothing too exciting or enticing for my little one. If you like St. Patty’s day, it’s worth the $$ but don’t expect any grand textures from this book.

st.patrick’s day,
i bought this because it had all the more popular Irish songs like “when Irish eyes are smiling” and “Danny boy” but no words to them. if these songs would have had words to them, i wouldn’t have been able to have listened to them. most of the songs only last for little over a minute. some are less than that and i “think” that there is only one song that is a little over 2 minutes. i would recommend this only to people who like/love Celtic music. this album is awesome!
