This is the start of a pretty good series! I almost didn’t purchase it because the description of the story gave so little to go on. I’m glad I took a chance and I will be looking for the next book in the series!

I agree with the commenter up top…gamer2012. it gets pretty steamy. i started reading this author for her zombie books, but upon reading this book, i am going to keep up with this series also. very interesting, very intriguing, man i wish that i didn’t have to wait for the next book(s). i love the interactions between the characters.

I don’t do vampires. I have never read Twilight, nor do I intend to. But, I read the author’s zombie series and completely got hooked on her writing style, the suspense and humor. I thought I would give her vampire series a try.

And this book did not disappoint.

Twins Nathan and Nikki move with their mom to a new town after their parent’s awful divorce. Something seems “off” in some of the townspeople. They have sparkling white teeth. They aren’t seen in broad daylight. Other residents are warning “lock your doors and don’t let strangers in the town”.

Nikki begins dating Duncan, but meets Ethan who seems to have some “mind control” over her. Yes, there are some steamy scenes. I would not let a preteen read this book.

It is fun trying to figure out who is who and what is what. I can’t wait for other books to come out. This was a vampire story I completely enjoyed.
