I am very disappointed with this product which I bought because of the great reviews on Amazon. Yes it keeps you warm but it keeps shedding and molting all over my furniture and clothes. I washed it the day after I got it due to it shedding all over my bed at night, thinking that would solve the problem because of it being new but no- it still sheds and is slightly less soft than day one after I washed it exactly as stated on the label- so reviews saying it is unbelievably soft and stays that way after many washes are wrong. I have felt softer blankets in Bed Bath and Beyond so on getting this wasn’t impressed by people raving about its softness on here, it IS soft don’t get me wrong but you will find softer elsewhere. The shedding is only annoying because my bed sheets and sofa are cream color so when it molts there is deep brown fluff stuck to it everywhere which is unsightly and takes ages to remove, was still stuck to my sheets after washing them.

I couldn’t wait for this blanket to arrive. What a disappointment. It leaves lint everywhere. I have washed it twice and it continues to, leaving balls of lint all over the blanket as well. It was a total waste of money.

I have now bought 5 of these blankets – one for each bed in the house and one as a gift. They are truly the softest things ever and come out of the dryer like brand new. I bought the first 3 at Orvis and am thrilled to see that Amazon now carries them for a significantly lower price. If you have a cat, be prepared to share your blanket with kitty.
