The entire “paper”, I’d hardly call it a book, isn’t worth $20.00. The author constantly refers to illustrations in books that are loooongggg out of print, and having done so makes it extremely difficult to learn anything from it. You won’t like this “paper” unless you happen to own or have access to these books (referred to by the author): Roubo, Andre-Jacob: L’Art du menuisier, 1761-1788; Moxon, Joseph:Mechanick exercises, 1703; Nicholson. Peter: The mechanic’s companion, 1832; Diderot, Denis: L’encyclopedie, ou dictionnaire raisonne des sciences, des arts et des metiers, 1751-1765; Petrie, Sir William Matthew Flinders: Tools and weapons illustrated by the Egyptian collection in University College, London, 1917

I downloaded the book onto my computer thinking that the illustrations would be there, but sadly they are not. The book is useless without out them!

From page one, there is reference to the many schematics, none of which are in this Kindle version. Since it says things like, “Note the differences in design”, the text has little meaning without them. I guess you could get something from just reading the text, but it’s not really a book without the illustrations, in this case. IOW, they’re really not optional, and they’re not here. I appreciate the effort people are putting out to get books online, but they need to think, too. This is just a waste of everybody’s time,
