I bought this game about a year ago directly from steam, and I have not regretted it at all. Is it a pain to get working? yes, but you have to take into account that it is an old game, one that was rushed to release at that. If you are able to look past the fact that you have to patch it and work with it to make it work (And there are many tutorials online to make it work), then what you will find is a wonderful role playing game. The gameplay is fun and engaging and the humor is still funny even though this game is very old. If you want to see some gameplay I would recommend watching helloween4545′s lets play to see why this game is so damn fun. As for this being a steam only title, that makes sense when you know that this was one of the first games that used valve’s source engine. In the end if you are willing to put in the effort, then you will be rewarded with a fun game, especially if you choose the patch with the extra content, because it restores content that had to be cut out from the commercial release due to time time constraints.

have bought this game several times because of one reason or another. therefore i figured getting the download version would cause less headaches. well i was wrong. 1st you have to have a steam account, ok maybe i didnt read this but considering this game never needed steam before i didnt think to read it. so ok my fault there but still should have been in the heading or something in bold letters (again still probably would have missed it i just wanted to play this game right now. then since i have a newer system then the game wants steam needs it to be patched for it to work. Which for $20 shouldnt be the case. Seriously if you buy the game it should be updated and patched up considering its going on 10 years old of a game. in the midst of trying to get the patches to work but unsuccessful so far so even more annoyance. But i really hate steam and if amazon is just a platform for steam no more buying download games i hate internet to play systems and games. for Bloodlines i am willing to put up with it but as mentioned before i just wasted 20 on a game that doesnt work on this site and i am not happy about it. hopefully i can get the patch or patches to work soon but still disappointed with you amazon (and for myself for not reading and paying attention better until after the fact)
