For the price I paid, I wasn’t expecting anything grand but I was expecting somewhat better quality than what I got. First, it took me about 3 and a half hours of assembling this chest to discover some missing hardware that I was able to find alternates for at Lowes. Then after it was finally assembled, you can tell that holes had been slightly miss-drilled causing the entire chest to have a slight lean to the left and the drawers to sit in crooked manner. Drawers operated smoothly but any clothes or linens you may put in it will inherit a cheap wood smell to it. I would have returned the item had it not been fully assembled already. All in all, I do not recommend this product and I will probably never buy another South Shore item again.

This item is a piece of crap! Received the item damaged and I am still fighting Amazon for a replacement and it has been approx. 1 month now. Much more difficult to put together than IKeA furniture. Material is crappy. Drawers slide horrible. Overall item is a piece of s..t! Will never buy another piece of this furniture. Will stick with purchasing from IKEA. My son has the damaged item up at school and we are stillll waiting for replacement item. We will then have to put that together, bring up to him which is 7 hours away and then lug the damaged item back home to return. Having to return this item to Amazon is a waste of time and money. It should just be thrown in the dumpster!!!

I am a graduate student who was in desperate need of a dresser – especially on a budget. It took around 3-4 hours to assemble by myself but the directions were easy to follow and all the parts were there. If everything is assembled properly, no drawer bottoms should fall out and the dresser itself is very sturdy. For the price and for the fact that it was do-it-yourself assembly, I’m very happy with this product and glad I bought it.
