Excellent knife with functional gadgets.,
I’d first like to say Do not use the wire stripper!!! You will ruin the blade!!! It’s a good idea, and I’m sure it works fine with braided wire for a while, but I normally strip 14-10 gauge solid wire and I now have a nice big knick in the blade after only a few wires. The level is nice if you have a perfectly flat surface longer than 4″ to level with. The pencil sharpener is indeed a pencil sharpener, I have no complaints. It was a week or so before I realized that there is a little scratch marker in the handle at the tip of the blade when it’s folded. I have never needed to use it, but it is in there tight and doesn’t fall out so I guess it’s a good thing. The belt clip is AWESOME! Another thing that’s awesome is the little 1/16th” markers that extend for about 1-1/4″ on the back of the handle. It is very useful when you need to measure small pipe, nuts, bolts, screws, drill bits, whatever, and you don’t have a tape measure handy. Finally, the blade is very sturdy and extremely sharp. With the blade being the reason I bought this knife and not the extra gadgets, I’m very happy with it.

I was skeptical when I made this purchase as I thought the quality would suffer for the amount of gadgets packed into it, but I have been proven wrong. The blade and handle are solid when locked out and the blade came razor sharp right out of the box. As far as the gadgets, the level is pretty darn accurate for as short as it is and the pencil sharpener is great! You may ask, “why not just use the blade to sharpen your pencil?” Well, I do a lot of trim and cabinet-type carpentry for which a good pencil point can be indispensable. (I CANNOT abide a crappy pencil sharpener and would have returned the whole thing if it had been bad) Too many great uses for the stuff this knife will do to list ‘em all here. It’s enough to say this knife has proven itself a great addition to my EDCs!

|Not bad for the price,
Even though I knew I would be purchasing a product that was made in China, I have had good luck with the foreign made SOG products, so I took the chance. This is a nice knife and appears quite functional with a level, wire strippers, and a pencil sharpener. I purchased this for a friend who does work with wires and installations and I am happy with the apparent quality and would feel good in presenting this to him.
It is quite sharp out of the box and does have an unusual look to it and some unusual functions you won’t normally find with a standard folding knife. It is a unique design and isn’t overdone. The price was quite reasonable and I think it is a good value if you need something along these lines for your work or know someone who could use something like this. It is not so expensive that you would be afraid to use it on the job.
