Nothing less than a Hip-Hop master peice!,
I want to say first off I got a used CD from “checkmycd’s”. I have to say it was in perfect condition and came so quick for a great price. So my thanks goes out for them. So anyway Self explanatory is probably my most favorite album from classified. That’s saying something since I love all his albums so much. SO classified comes back with some really good beats. Actually some chilled out feel good stuff. An example, Up all night, breaking up and anybody listening.As always Class backs the good beats and dope hooks with great lyrics. He has great topics such as Canadian stereotypes in the popular and great Oh..Canada. Another song I enjoyed was inspiration about himself and soemthing that inspired the song. All the songs actually have great topics and content. A really cool feature on this album was the CYOA songs(Choose your own adventure). it’s like the books where you can skip to a certain page to continue the story based on your choice. This features pretty cool and entertaining. The lyrics are tight and tell a pretty cool story. I liked that it didn’t mean that class didn’t shorten the regular songs too. The alum has a lot of songs with a 20 song list and literally no interludes or filler BS. I would pick this up if you love Classified, real old school type hip-hop,and good old storytelling with sick beats. If you enjoy mainstream songs by rappers like 2chainz, odd future, lil wayne etc. Then stay away unless you want to try something new and wanna here some real Hip-Hop. Definitely buy this since Classified is still basically ungrounded. He needs support and always it’s fairly cheap. So check out my reviews for other classified Cds which I will post soon.
