Sculpture is a psychological horror movie that is a near-masterpiece. Here we have a movie that is gorier than the average slasher movie, but it has a very good story and performances that give it that something extra. I have to say the story is very intriguing and a bit taboo, and would very likely be disturbing to the average viewer. Let’s just say it involves a brother and sister who are a little too close. The sister is a psychotic artist, and we learn through flashbacks that her family is just as screwed up as she is. There is so much gore in this movie that gorehounds will be in nirvana! And seeing indie scream queens Raine Brown and Misty Mundae onscreen together was a delight. Those girls can act! Bottom line: if you like underground horror movies, than you might think that Sculpture is a work of art. I do.

The unanswered qustion is why this movie is included with those of Misty Mundae.Misty is removed from the scene far too early leaving the task to Raine Brown to finish the job.She makes a fine effort and actually is very good as the female crackpot.Misty makes her obligatory shower scene and she has her weight under control very well .Some of her films make her look porky.

Misty’s early departure leaves the center stage to Ms Brown and although she has been seriously trained in the classics she appears to have found her niche in the slasher horror genre. Her small, cute looks and innocent manner makes her the last person that you would assume is a phsyco-manic.She carries the movie easily and it is one of Sediction Cinema’s better efforts.Good sets, good acting,a believable story other than the fact that 7 bodys have been disposed of and we are given no info on how that was done .Apparently there were no police in that town.

The ending is predictable but that does not detract from it in any way.The next time however Misty should be in the movie to the finsh as it was her name that sold the movie, Raine’s good performance not withstanding.
