My daughter bought an unusually sized poster that would have cost $30 to frame with a conventional frame. With these and an $8 sheet of plexiglass, she has a nicely framed poster on her wall.

These are one of the simplest and versatile methods of hanging prints, usable with glass cover and rigid backing. These can be easily undone and reused to change display and are not restricted to one particular format.

I had a frameless piece of artwork sandwiched between two plates of heavy glass, and these clips hold it all together very well. They are simple and look good too.

One tip when mounting them: pull the top string taught before looping the final triangular “hanging” string through. I found out that if the string isn’t very taught, then the intersection of string where the piece hangs is too low and the top of the art piece will be spaced out from the wall. A taught string will help keep the art more flat against the wall.

As the title states these may be grey market as 2 of the stones looked like they had been glued back together after breaking. There are large cracks in them but the pieces appear to be solid still and there is not any glue visible so I am not sure if this standard for the cichlid stones or possibly a box that was returned and refurbed. Overall the package was in very good shape and they put the extra effort in to make sure it got to me intact. Mine were delivered from Big Al’s and they were prompt in getting the package to me.

The openings of the rocks vary from 2″-5″ which was one of my main concerns before ordering as I could not find very much information online about it. I am using these for Aulonocara Kandeense (small african peacock aka “Blue orchid”) and the openings are a great size for them and I would venture to say even larger fish will fit in the openings.

My fish love the hiding spaces that these cichlid stones provide. They are also an attractive decoration and a less expensive alternative to making caves with real stones.

For my 120 gallon tank with Lake Malawi Cichlids between 3-6 inches – these stones are perfect!
They look like real rock. Very light. No danger of them falling & cracking the glass bottom of the tank.
The fish love them. The tank looks great. Have ordered another set.
