“Saltwater Kisses” is a fresh take on a familiar theme. Author Krista Lakes seems to know this genre in and out and hits all the right buttons, creating a story that anyone who loves romantic novels will enjoy. Often with these types of stories, the author includes a lot of cheesy dialogue and situations that just aren’t believable. That is not the case with this story. While the idea of the “average” girl landing a billionaire is a bit of a far-fetched dream, Lakes does make the characters seem believable and their situations plausible. If you’re looking for a well-written book with interesting characters, snappy dialogue, and some steamy love scenes, you need look no further. It’s all here. Recommended.

Emma is from a small town in Iowa and wants to be a veterinarian. Jack is a billionaire, lives in New York and will be taking over his father’s business. Their lives couldn’t be any more different. But, when they meet and spend some time together, they find out they have a lot in common. Emma goes to New York and is thrown into the lifestyle of the rich and famous. She can have anything she wants, except to live a normal life with the man she loves.
This is a fun story and to read, with some pretty hot sex scenes. There are some grammatical and spelling errors, but not enough to take away from the storyline. If you’re looking for something to read this summer, this would be a great choice.

|Tackling the Rough Choices That Come With Dreams Coming True,
I loved this book! It read so quickly and easily, the worst was that the ending had to happen. Props to Mrs. Lakes! I liked how she tackles the weight that would come with being swept up to riches and and the almost-royalty status that comes with it…and how sometimes it’s more trouble than its worth. It’s the find of fun romance that you wish yourself would be swept up in, and Lakes makes it seem like it really could happen one of these days. I’ll certainly keep an eye out for more of her work in the future!
