Putty or Wax, which is right for you?,
Customer Video Review Length:: 1:02 Mins
How does this product compare to Quakehold! 88111 Museum Putty Neutral? Hopefully you will find the attached video helpful in selecting the product that best meets your needs.
Pros – Very strong bond
Cons – Somewhat messy to work with, very messy to remove
Bottom Line: Museum Wax is great stuff when you want something that is nearly permanent and can still be removed, with a bit of work, on the right kind of surfaces. Otherwise, the additional holding power, over putty, was not worth the additional mess I prefer using the Museum Putty.
BTW, I feel that honest, effective reviews, accompanied by detailed videos, can take the place of first-hand experiences that are often lacking in online shopping. I’ve always appreciated the help I’ve gotten from other reviewers and try to return the favor as best as I can. I hope you found this review helpful and the video at least entertaining. If there was anything you thought was lacking or unclear leave a comment and I’ll do what I can to fix it.

Works great to keep fragile objects from falling over,
Museum wax is NOT designed to level objects but is instead meant to keep fragile objects, such as vases with small bases, from falling over. In earthquake prone areas, it helps keep small objects from breaking during a quake. In my Museum (I am the Exhibits Specialist in a art museum), we use it on objects that might fall over if someone bumps into the pedestal. We have used it on objects that have been in place for 10 years and the wax is still pliable and easily removed/applied. Read the directions before using.
Quick tip: Use dental floss to separate the object from the pedestal when it has to be removed before trying to pick up the object.

Quake Hold,
This stuff works great to anchor down breakables in a household of numerous cats. I highly recommend it.
