|better as a roadside emergency beacon,
This light lasted less than 5 hours. Do not use where tidal currents or fast moving water is present; light will not sink and takes away your night vision. I could not in good conscious return it for a refund since I tied my dinghy anchor to it to try to force it to sink. (The tidal current is very fast at my boat slip). I suppose the light would be great in a fresh water lake or pond where the current is minimal or non-existent. It is pretty bright. I give it 2.5 stars out of 5 for overall usefulness.

The light works fine but what they don’t tell you is YOU have to supply the weight to get it down under the water. And it takes a bunch of weight to get it to sink!
