I own ALL the Melissa and Doug Box of Questions sets. This one is my least favorite. More than half of the questions are TRIVIA, knowledge-related questions, as opposed to thought provoking conversation starters. I was very disappointed because, being “Thanksgiving Themed”‘ I thought the box would provoke memories and conversations of thankfulness. Usually, we can tailor any “Box of Questions” to include our younger children ages 3 and 6, but that is impossible with this Thanksgiving set, which includes too many Trivia questions. I love and recommend the original “Dinner Box of Questions”, but I do not recommend the Thanksgiving version.

questions were good for all ages. It really kept the thanksgiving talk going in a nice direction for the afternoon. We enjoyed them and put them away to use again next year.

In the past, I had made little strips of colored construction paper (fall colors), provided pens, and hoped for the best (meaning that I wondered if folks would really write something down that they were thankful for … not to mention actually going around the table reading the messages); I also had a similar activity where folks could write and put their message up on a poster (that had pictures drawn by the kids) … the Thanksgiving Box of Questions, brought to in-laws home as a host gift — and — activity went well. And it was a lot easier than my other creations/ideas. The questions are thought-provoking and the round cards are handy for all to manage. Loved it. Thank you to whomever created this activity.
