I bought these clips, because I personally like the sound quality of the new earpods that came with my iphone 5 however I had a hard time keeping them in my ears while on my runs. I could have gotten a cheap set of behind the ear headphones but I personally like the option of being able to remove the clips when I dont need them.

Pros: The Earbudi clips stay on during my 4-5 mile runs, they can at times get a little slippery when I sweat a lot, but that only happened once and all I had to do is take them off, wipe the sweat off my earpods, and the earbudi clips and put them back on, works like a charm!

-They are comfortable, no chaffing or uneasiness, the material is a very soft rubber.

-The plastic part that clips onto the earpod does not obstruct any of the holes in the earpods (if you have a pair of earpods you’ll notice they have vents or holes in the stem and the back which I assume are for airflow)

-They havent changed in color yet, I’ve used them in nearly 10 runs.

Cons: The rubber behind the ear clips can detach from the plastic clips themselves (ie the part that sits behind your ears can be removed from the part that is clipped onto the earpods) im not sure if this was done so that you could wash them, but my only gripe is that when they get sweaty the rubber part comes off way too easily. It hasn’t come off during a run yet, but when I go to remove them from my earpods, sometimes the rubber part comes off while the plastic part thats attached to the earpod stays on. This is not a big issue but for a piece of plastic that cost me $10 at the writing of this review, and serves no purpose other that keeping my earpods in place I would expect better build quality.

-Also just keep in mind that keeping these guys attached to your earpods can cause tangling when not in use. This is not due to anything wrong inately with the earbudi clips but just that nature of any behind the ear headphone design. So its advisable to remove them when you dont need them.

SO in conclusion, these guys serve the purpose I bought them for, and do this without creating any discomfort. The only reason I took off 1 star is because of the rubber part detaching from the plastic part that clips onto my headphones when wet or sweaty.

Hope this helps leave a comment or feedback if I can answer any other questions.

I have relied for a long time on the same pair of over-the-ear headphones which finally died on me. Ear buds don’t stay in my ears, and the latest “earpods” were no exception. I commute daily for 2 hours with headphones in, plus a good 30-40 minute run at lunch. The trouble with the earpods was that in order to stay in my ears, I’d have to jam them in so that they hurt after a while, and then I’d have to sit perfectly still, hold my breath, and face North-Northeast; then they’d stay in for a while. I saw these things and figured that the $10 was worth the risk. If they were terrible, then it didn’t hurt the bank as much as the $60 alternative headphones I was considering. Having tried them now, I’d gladly have paid more. $15-20 would be a reasonable price. The clips are hard plastic, and it seems you have to slide the stem of the earpods into the clips after dropping the wire through first. Then, you can slide the clips up and down the earpod as you like, I suppose for the unique shape of your ear. You can also swivel them on the axis or angle them in or out, although I’m not sure this angling would make much of a difference, other than helping them be more flexible to different ears. The rubber hooks are soft and I don’t feel them over or behind my ear in the slightest. They’re also very quick to put on (I start with the earbud in place, then wrap the hook over the ear). When taking them off, I haven’t had them come apart like other reviewers. After a while, I develop a little pain in my right ear, but I think that’s because I just don’t have the earpod positioned correctly, which has nothing to do with the earbudi.
They do stick out from the ears slightly. The clip is on the back of the earpods, and the rubber is on the back of the clip. But, it doesn’t catch your attention unless you’re really examining the person’s headphones. This might be a concern if you wear something over your ears, like a helmet or hat. Then again, if you do that, you probably don’t use over-the-ear headphones, or you’ve probably already got some other accommodation worked out.
What stands out most to me is the pressure it puts to keep them in place. The earpods, I think, put out some good sound. You don’t need them jammed into your skull to hear them or to hear the (semi-) full range of sound coming from them. These things put just enough pressure to hold them in place. It’s not so much that they hurt, and it’s not so little that you’re concerned they’ll fall out. I’m not even concerned that they’ll move around, although it’s easy to re-tilt the pods if I want to adjust them in my ear. I have ran with music and with spoken word tracks, and have no trouble hearing at a moderate volume. It does not isolate the sound from the headphones, so you’ll also hear your companion talking or the road noise or whatever else is going on around you.
I won’t penalize my rating to 4 stars because I can think of improvements — especially with the $10 price tag, these are worthy of 5 stars — but, I can think of some improvements. Like another reviewer, it seems odd that the clip connects to the rubber with a peg, with a slight bulb on the end. This helps the adjustability, I understand, but it seems that there might be a way to cap it from the outer side. Then again, mine has not fallen out yet, either, so why fix it? The “Patent pending” labeling seems a little low-brow to me, too. Labeling or branding them seems like a far better marketing plan than just stamping them that a patent is pending. And, the packaging design is nice, but the paper inserts in the packaging should list that they’re designed for earpods rather than ear buds.

Update: after several months of using these daily, I still like them a lot. The plastic ball end that I mentioned, holding the ear hook on, is not a problem at all. But, the plastic clip that snaps onto the ear buds has cracked. I had to tape it with duct tape. Perhaps I might have used something less unsightly, but for my purposes, I’m still rather satisfied.

Restyled I-Pod ear buds kept dropping out on my morning jogs. Plus too much traffic noise to enjoy the music/books. With the NEW earbudi clips your ear buds stay in place and consequently reduce traffic noise. Takes a bit of getting used to, 2 or 3 days to adjust to new feeling, but after that you home clear. Good product, great price. Thanks for taking the challenge to create such a product. Also, thanks for your personal email advising me they were ready on Amazon to purchase. You guys GO!
