Great Pool Cover,
This solar pool cover works very well. It does not sink (even when the sprinklers wet it) and heats the pool water too, especially near the water surface. The fit is good when you tuck the perimeter under the pool’s top air ring (as stated in the instructions). I would recommend this cover to anyone with an Intex Easy Set 12′ x 30″ pool. It’s so much better than the Intex Pool Debris Cover (which sinks into the pool). I’ve owned this solar pool cover for about 2 months. I don’t know why the ratings include an educational value… some kind of solar experiment… ha ha.

This is a SOLAR POOL COVER just like EVERY other solar cover out there.,
About the reviews stating that this is “basically an overpriced piece of bubblewrap” and that “it just covers the water”….
What did you expect? This is a POOL SOLAR COVER. Haven’t you ever seen one in your life?
Yes, pool solar covers are basically an “overpriced piece of bubblewrap” that “just covers the water”. It’s bubblewrap specially made for the purpose, hence the price. I’d love to see you try to use hardware store bubblewrap as a solar cover. Fun times should ensue. NO, it’s not meant to wrap around the pool. No solar cover does. It’s meant to touch the water. When the instructions say to tuck in under the ring, they mean UNDER, as in IN the water, not OUTSIDE.
These prevent the water from losing its heat through evaporation and the bubbles, which by the way, must TOUCH the water, act as little greenhouses to heat it.
When you take it off, don’t leave it in the sun, or else what happened to some other reviewers where the cover broke or the bubbles disintegrated will happen to you too. The sun will dry this cover and make it unusable.

Great cover,
We used this cover for 3 years and loved it. It worked like a charm and was pretty easy to get off and on. The only issue I had was that it stuck to itself so you would have to deal with that but that is a minor issue. We could have used it longer but our kids outgrew the 12′ pool so we are upgrading. A must have.
