Our house had mice infestation for about a year now. I’ve tried lot of products up till now and I have to say Home Sentinel’s Pest Control Repeller seems promising. I’ll list few of the products I have used so far
1)Glue traps – Works good when placed at right locations like narrow passage way and near a bait. I’ve caught 20+ mice with this product.
2)Snap-E Mouse Trap by Kness. This product also worked good, caught few mice with peanut butter bait at center.
3)D-con mice poison. Came with 6 Poison blocks? I can see the mice likes this after watching the poison block getting smaller as they chew through it. I can’t share the results on this one cause I haven’t seen dead mouse. They might have died behind the walls.
4)100% Peppermint oil – This seem to work good as a mouse repellent but the mouse would come back once the smell weakens which seem to be around 7-10 days later (used 3drops to each end of Q-tip).
5)I’ve bought a cheap chinese brand Electro-Magnetic sound repellent, this doesn’t seem to work at all, I use it as night light.
I read moth ball works but I didn’t want to use it in the house cause I read the smell is poisonous.

No matter how many I kill there seem to be more cause I can hear the mice behind the walls chewing through the wood and making squeaking sound. We try to keep our house as clean as possible, and I can’t find any opening from the outside of the house.

I got this product on Nov/19. We have a beagle/terrier mix dog that is 7 year old. First I have placed this product on outlet that is about 5cm from the ground, and my dog realized the ultra-sonic sound that came from it. Our dog gets afraid of high beep sound like (smoke alarm when the battery is low), so as soon as she heard this she ran away scared. The pet safe feature seem to work cause when I turned it on she was fine after few minute.
I wanted to use full features this product offers (High Ultra sonic sound) because of the previous failed electro-magnetic repellent. So I moved this product to a outlet that is 5m from the floor in the kitchen, and our dog didn’t seem to get bothered by it.
Previous few nights before I received this product I was hearing mice behind the wall near kitchen. And the night after I put this product I didn’t hear as much as before. I would hear 2-3 second of mice and it would disappear, seem as if its driving mice away from the kitchen. I would need to test it out for a month and see how it last.
    Will update after a month.

    Update: 12/17/12
This seem to work well in kitchen, only caught one 5 days later.
Only problem is that this product doesn’t seem to cover lot of space. I’ve noticed activity in living room 15/20ft away where they tried to go through dirt in plants for food. Caught three more mice in living room. I’ve been also hearing some noises on other part of the house. Either I put this in every room I hear mice moving or I have to buy more powerful product.

    Update: 1/08/13
I’ve been hearing mice in kitchen, I guess this one isn’t affected by the ultra sound.

I purchased 5 of these units. They are all throughout my home (4000 sq. ft.) including my garage. I had a problem with spiders on my lanai. Now from what I understand spiders are not an insect, however they supposedly are attracted to insects for food or drink (whichever). So I figured if I put these around my house then the insects would go away, thereby removing the food source that the spiders had. And, if the spiders had no food source, they would go away. These worked like a charm!! I can go on my lanai now and not have to fight off 2-3 spider webs each morning. I had read a lot on trying to rid a spider situation, but nothing that was convenient enough for me. But came across these…and for the ease of use and the power that they have compared to others on the market, I wanted to try them. I don’t hear any noise at all. My cat is not bothered at all. I haven’t even seen a bug in my garage! The first couple weeks I did see whatever bug that was in my wall being driven out here and there…but usually dying. But, after that…no more. My home is newly built and I have this supposedly sophisticated in wall pest control system that can be activated to keep pests away…for an activation fee and a monthly payment of course. But, before I accepted a bill, I thought what did I have to lose. It turns out that my $150.00 was very well spent. I’m very happy with this product. And, I would definitely recommend these to anyone who doesn’t want someone to have to come to their house every 1-3 months because the chemicals dissipate over time, who doesn’t want a bill because you have to pay every time a tech comes, and who doesn’t want chemicals put around the house because you have either pets, babies, elderly, or allergies.

Mice were driving me crazy in my kitchen, running around at all times of the day. I caught 4 with mouse traps but then they got smart and started avoiding the mouse traps. I was desperate to try something else and bought one of these. The mice came out one last time briefly and I have not seen them since (over a month now)! The noise must have scared them away. I just bought two more for a friend! I am not unplugging this, ever.
