Cheaply made ; watch out for the plugs,
We ordered two of these for use as reading lamps while in bed. The shipping delays were okay with me. I knew it was coming from China. What was not okay were the plugs. They had blades so thin and/or narrow that they would not make proper contact in standard US outlets (we tried several). If you jiggled the plug the light would come on. Not good. I ended up going to the hardware store and getting replacement plugs ($1.99 at TruValue) and cutting off the OEM plugs and replacing them. Now they work fine. As lamps they are very good but the QC on an item like – even if inexpensive — should be better.

|Nice desk lamp.,
This is a very nice, attractive, economical, energy-efficient, functional desk lamp, and it takes up little room on one’s desk top. It emits a light that is indeed soft and easy on the eyes as advertised.
The only problem that I have noticed so far is that its base is a bit small, so one must configure it with the lamp head above the switch or it will topple over. Another problem is that it comes from china so shipping time can take weeks, but it is worth the wait. I recommend it.
