  • FLOW RATES: 120 Gallons Per Hour (GPH) @ 0′ Lift; 95 GPH @ 1′ Lift; 66 GPH @ 2′ Lift; 20 GPH @ 3′ Lift; Max Lift – 3′ 3″.
  • PEAK EFFICIENCY SWEET SPOT: 66 GPH @ 2′ Lift”.
  • DIMENSIONS: 1.97″ x 1.73″ x 1.26″.
  • 5 FOOT QUALITY CORD: Many pump manufacturers use an inferior quality cord, our highest quality (SJTW) Electric Cord is waterproof, 18# gauge copper wire, molded plug with ground, heavy duty flexible vinyl jacket, resists oil/grease/moisture, abrasion resistant and very good flexibility at all temperatures.
  • EPOXY RESIN ENCASEMENT of key internal motor components prevents unwanted conductivity and corrosion of metal parts.
  • NEODYMIUM IRON BORON (NdFeB) MAGNETS are used in all our electric motors because they are the most powerful permanent magnetic materials commercially available and increase energy efficiency.
  • EASY CLEAN: No tools required to disassemble and clean filter/impeller.
  • 6 WATTS – 120VAC – 60Hz
  • TWO OUTLET ADAPTORS : For 5/16″ and 1/2″ tubing.

HOW TO CHOOSE A HYDROPONIC, AQUAPONIC, ALGAPONIC, AQUARIUM, POND OR FOUNTAIN PUMP First remember:
 - “Maximum Flow Rate” is meaningless because it is at ZERO lift.
 - “Maximum Head/Lift” is meaningless because the flow at that height is only a trickle.

You need to choose an affordable quality pump that produces the “desired flow at your required lift” at the lowest wattage.

Step 1: Determining Desired Flow Rate
Hydroponic Systems – typically flow through a single

I purchased this pump to replace another brand that stopped working.
The smaller size of the housing was an initial concern but the smaller body actually fits far better than a larger style.
This pump seems to catch less debris in the screen compared to my other one and has a lot of power for the size.
The price can’t be beat. I highly recommend this pump!

I have a small pond in my back yard with a waterfall that is about 3-feet higher than the pond water. I have had a pump in the bottom of the pond that supplies water to the top of the waterfall and it just recirculates. Recently the pump burned out and I had to order a new one. My pum is about 800 gallons of water – not large. The old pump was expensive at the time, but it did last for a long time. I wanted to save some money so I opted for a less powerful pump to save money. Doing the calculations, I thought this pump would do the job. It is very similar in design to the old one I had. The pump itself is encased in a cage that helps filter out the crap that always collects in pond water.

So, overall, this pump does the job, but it is definitely undersized, Before I had a nice flow of water from the waterfall outlet. This one is a lot weaker, but it does look natural. The less flow appears to be a bonus for the birds because this year, we have had a ton more birds play under the waterfall, taking baths, cavorting around. The pond is just outside our dining room bumpout, so we can sit at the table and watch the activity of all the different birds. It is fun to do.

So, the positive is that it works and the birds like the lower flow. If you want more of a rushing noise for ambiance and want a bigger water flow which helps to aerate the water and keep the green algae from growing so fast, a bigger pump would be a better choice. This unit has held up fine and the birds love it. I would like to have a louder gurgling, faster water flow, but this is a good compromise between me and the birds.
