Since most bulky winter items are prohibited for use with car seats, I wanted to find something that would be thin enough to safely use. We live in Michigan, and most winters are fairly cold and long so I don’t feel that just a blanket is enough. My son is 3.5 months, 14 lbs. and 25.5″ long, and I ordered him the 12 months size. I read that this runs small, and I want it to fit him all winter. It’s big now, but better big than too small. It will fit until March with any luck.

It’s very cute, and very snuggly. The hands and feet fold over so you don’t need mittens or booties, which is handy. The hood has adorable bear ears. The suit zips down the front for easy on and off. Good alternative to bulky buntings.

    Update 2-2-13
We are into February and this still fits my son, who is now 2 days shy of 7 months, 18 1/2 pounds, and 28″ long. He can still wear it with the feet and hands folded over, which is good. The arms seem to be a bit longer than the legs, and he is almost out of room in the legs and we will need to unfold it soon. Another thing is that the hood has always been too big, even now with him wearing 9-12 months clothes. He is only in the 54th percentile for head circumference, so if your baby has a small to average size head, the hood will be big. It works though. It’s so handy not to have to bother with hats and mittens.

Overall, I would definitely buy this again. It works very well for us and it will easily last until the cold weather leaves us. We have had temps in the teens lately and he seems to be plenty snug enough with this over his clothes.

    Update 3-27-13
We are heading into April next week and STILL using this! Right now my son is 20 pounds and about 28.5″ long. We had to finally unfold the feet and keep them open or it would be too short on him. Hopefully we will start to get some warmer weather soon, but I’m thrilled this will fit until we do!

This is a must for a young child!!! This fleece bodysuit is awesome!! I just throw my 1 year old daughter in this everytime we go out. Its not bulky and won’t have her sweating in the car. It also isn’t think and will not interfere with a carseat’s performance. This suit just zips on and just throw it on right over whatever your little one is wearing. The cuffs around the wrists and ankles fold down so your child is totally encapsulated in this fleece warmth. Its just perfect for any winter trips for a child that doesn’t need a full on snowsuit and boots. Its great for a child that cant walk in the snow or a baby b/c its so easy to use. Plus, its adorable. Amazon had the best price too!!

It was thiner than I thought it would be. I wouldn’t put my baby in it without layers underneath though that means that it cuts into her mobility.
I do like that there is an option to close feet/hands or keep them exposed. Overall it serves its function and worked well during a cold night when we went camping.
