Brussel’s DT3066AZ Satsuki Azalea Outdoor Bonsai Tree

Brussel's DT3066AZ Satsuki Azalea Outdoor Bonsai Tree

  • Satsuki azalea bonsai; deciduous, outdoor tree
  • Grown as bonsai in Japan for centuries
  • Graceful trunk movement
  • Pink, white, or red blooms in spring
  • 5 years old, 8 inches tall

With small, round leaves and large, pink flowers blooming from May to June, this broadleaf flowering bonsai is packed with stems for a gorgeous late spring show. Though the Satsuki Azalea has just one flower per stem, the shrub has so many stems that during the flowering season they are a solid mass of color. Grown in Japan for centuries, the Satsuki Azalea’s graceful trunk movement adds distinct shape to the patio, deck or garden. This particular bonsai is 5 years old and stands 8 inches tall.

I’ve traveled into NYC to the flower district, and shopped in Bonzai shops, and picked up pretty good Bonzai over the years. NONE have compared to the quality and beauty of the bonzai from this source.

The people I gave these to as gifts were blown away.

Not only were they good strong specimens, they were beautifully shaped and pruned. These are not just small cuttings stuck in the ground and allowed to grow until mature enough to ship. They are crafted for beauty.

Buy them here, and you will be truly pleased.

It is unbelievable that I was able to buy this quality of a bonsai tree for under $25. It arrived fast and it looked beautiful right out of the box. I will be purchasing more and I suggest that if you’re interested enough to read this, you really should take my advice and get one for yourself! Great Buy!!

This tree came in the exact pot that was advertised and had a dense canopy of green growth. Brussel’s bonsai is perhaps the largest bonsai supplier in the nation, and anyone who claims they were sent a “dead/dying” tree is flat out lying. They are a reputable company from whom I’ve bought a dozen or so bonsai and they’re all in superb condition. This company would never send a dead tree–they guarantee all their trees so why would they?

One thing I will point out is that the trunk is very tiny and this is not even close to being a mature bonsai–but for $17 what can you expect? You’d probably end up spending more if you went to a local garden center and bought a shrub, bonsai pot and soil and tried to re-create this shrub. This bonsai is a great deal.

Would I recommend buying? YES. This tree is adorable and can’t wait to see it bloom this spring.

Hi folks. Im from south dakota. We get bad snow and ice storms here each year so this plant will definitely be remaining potted for its life. I do landscaping for the university of south dakota and most will be donated to the school once mature. I use a shallow and wide square pot with a professional seeding mix. Put the seeds on top of the soil as directions indicated. Took awhile but we finally have signs of life 5 seeds sprouted out of the 20 so far. However many of the other seeds we started are being sluggish as well and we think it might be the seed starting mix. We use a warming table set at 75 degrees and i cant stress how important this is for a plant like this. You must be able to keep the soil tempterature up fairly high. As they get older i will come back with pictures of how they turned out. =)

I purchased these seeds despite the mixed reviews. The packaging was adequate and I followed the written directions word for word. I was able to get 16 of the 20 seeds to germinate over a two month period. I did have to pull one seedling due to a fungus so I did not infect the rest of the plants. I am transplanting the seedlings now but overall I am very satisfied with the results. I used a mix of an organic seed starter and desert sand (50/50) and watered them once a week. Both were purchased locally.

The other review that talked about the seeds being powder was half right. they are VERY small seeds, mixed in with a powder-like something. i have bought two ‘packages’ of these seeds, and from the first set, i got one sprout straight away. i think i over watered it though and it died. these seeds seem REALLY hardly to germinate, and is that the fault of the seller? we’ll see what happens with the second batch, but growing stuff from seeds is hard. especially these. keep the soil pretty dry, and a little sandy.
