works,
I am really excited about this product because I am now able to wear all of my sterling silver bracelets that were either too delicate or too difficult to clean with a cleaning cloth. I just dipped my jewelry in the cleaner and every piece came out sparkling. For 5 bucks, you cant beat it. For my items with stones, I used a Q-Tip to clean the silver surrounding the stone and that worked out nicely.

The fastest, most amazing silver cleaner EVER !!,
This stuff is so good that I cannot say enough about it! Again, it has saved me from dozens of hours of tedious hand-cleaning for several hundred of my hand-crafted, jewelry pieces while readying them for sale in multiple upcoming fall craft-fairs… Because I didn’t want to do the spring or summer craft-fair circuit, several of my sterling silver pieces had “sat around” for months in their open-air display boards & cases where they became extremely tarnished and would have literally taken me no less than an entire week (or more) to hand polish them all back to their original beauty… Instead, yesterday, this product cleaned about 450 sets of earrings, necklaces, and bracelts within a single afternoon and not only did it faster, but did it FAR BETTER than hand-cleaning ever could besides!
Pros:
1- It is FAST… I typically put 1 necklace or up to 4 earrings in together for about a count of 10 seconds… I suspect that it didn’t need even “that long” to do the entire job because I pulled one out after only 2 seconds thinking I’d dropped in something else– it was already tarnish-free! That’s how FAST and how effective it is!
2- It works on even silver plate… I don’t use a lot of silver plated metal in my designs, but I do use it for “price-point” designs to be able to offer some items at a lower price for those who love the designs but not the price tag of my higher-end pieces. Plated silver tarnishes the same as Sterling & fine silver so it must be cleaned sometimes too. The “normal way of cleaning plated pieces is by using the (terrific) polishing cloths and polishing the tarnish away… This method, however, reduces the life of a plated item significantly because to remove tarnish, it also rubs off some of the plating while cleaning it. So this is an amazing product because not only is it suitable for plated metal, but it actually works without reducing the “life” of the plated item… (yes, I tested it out by deliberately tarnishing and then cleaning a particular item I sell repeatedly to see how LONG it would stand up… It’s been 35 cleanings and I cannot see any noticeable removal of the plating !!
3- It can be used on copper, silver, plated metal, brass and even jeweler’s bronze!
4 – It appears to be safe on Swarovski crystals, Czech & regular glass, natural stone, fancy finishes including the “stardust” sometimes put onto silver beads. I would NOT use it on pearls, opals, or any delicate, porous stone– the jar clearly says NOT TO and it would likely harm it.
5- It is cheap enough to use all the time, even for someone like me who needs it for thousands of pieces of jewelry & metal jewelry supplies on a regular basis.
6- It did NOT harm the glossy finish on my natural oak table when spilled on it.
7- It did not stain a white, cotton towel used with it.
8- It did not damage an artist’s quality sheet of high-end, matting board when dripped all over it off of vinyl gloves… (it was diluted with water— I cleaned it up quickly– but there’s no sign of any damage to the matting from the experience)
9- It rinses off quickly in water…
10- NO rubbing required at all!
11- There was no degree of tarnish that it did not immediately remove!
12- The 8 fluid ounce jar is likely enough to last for several years for the average person…
Cons:
1- Once opened, the jar tends to leak a little if not closed VERY tightly (but then again, ALL of this type of product tend to do that… Make sure to remove ALL of the plastic seal from the edge of the jar so that the cover can reseal itself without any leftover plastic causing gaps that might allow a tiny bit of leakage if tipped over accidentally… (Learned THAT the hard way!)
2- The only other con I can think of is that the label says that you shouldn’t use for “factory-antiqued” metals or it **might** take off the antiquing process… However, it’s not really a “con” as THAT is really a given since antiquing is usually the process of deliberately tarnishing an item, which this is MADE to remove…
———
NOTE:
*** However, for my own benefit, as I’m apt to accidentally toss something in that shouldn’t be in without thinking, I wanted to know what might happen if I used it on one of them… So, to test it, I did an experiment with one item that was created from factory-antiqued copper with what I presume is a “permanent antiquing process (vs just being allowed to rapidly tarnish naturally)… I dropped it in for the usual time (about 10 seconds) and it did NOT remove the factory antiquing at all… It shined it up, but left it with ALL of the antiquing it came with. So, it IS safe to use on “factory-antiqued copper” done with a permanent antiquing process, or at least the kind I purchased from FMG… DO NOT assume that means that it will work on your…

Most Powerful and Fastest Silver Jewelry Cleaner Around,
I have been selling my old designer silver jewelry online and trying out different cleaners to remove tarnish (but not harm the gemstones or pearls.) I spent a lot of time spraying different silver jewelry cleaners and polishing with silver jewelry cloths. That is until I found this product. Now i just drop the earrings (posts included), bracelets, necklaces, charms, etc. into the container basket and leave them for about 60 seconds and Voila! Bright and shiny silver appears. Some of my pieces required a longer soak (2-4 minutes) because of tarnish on ornamental beads and in cracks and crevices around mounted gemstones. But I just wait, take the jewelry out, rinse it in cool water and polish it with a soft jewelry cloth. I have gotten nothing but rave reviews from my customers on the condition and appearance of the jewelry I sell. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wears, buys or sells silver jewelry. It is worth every penny.
