The only book series I have ever followed continually has been author, James Patterson’s, “Alex Cross” novels. From the moment I picked up my 1995 paperback, “Kiss the Girls”, Alex Cross has been my all time favorite hero. I have read every single “Alex Cross”, novel, that I have actually grown up with his family and feel like part of them. I am glad Nana Mama, is still around, watched him lose the love of his life, seen Janelle and Damon, grow up to be excellent teens, watched little Alex, be dropped off, then ripped away by his mother again from their lives, absolutely love his new wife Bree, and their new additon to the family, Ava………..

What draws me constantly back, is that Alex Cross, homicide detective, ex FBI Profiler, and highly trained psychologist, through out all of his novels, the author portrays his character as a grounded, humble everyday family man, that lives a normal life as possible. He thinks calmly before he reacts, has respect for the dead, and always gets the killers…………. But this time he is up against two very, evil, psychotic, killers that will give him no time to breathe………….

Meet Elijah Creem, highly sought out, plastic surgeon, who has a sick, perverted taste for young girls. Once arrested, his life the way he has known it will never be the same and he is out for revenge. Now he has recruited a demented partner, Joshua, that joins him to play out his sick, deadly, killing game……

Dead bodies start dropping all over Washington. For the very first time in his career, Alex won’t be able to think, as he races from one murder site to another. Will Alex and partner Sampson be able to solve the puzzle and catch these serial killers in time……

On top of everything else, someone is watching. Alex and his family are being threatened and hunted again..This is the first time he has ever been so, distracted, that he doesn’t even realize it..This may be the biggest mistake Alex has ever made in his “children’s lives”……

This has been one of the best , exciting, James Patterson’s “Alex Cross” novels, that I have read in along time, that left me hanging on the edge of my seat…. I will always look forward to my next, “Alex Cross”, novel in the future, as long as this author continues to write them himself………

This time I believe author, James Patterson has given us a thrilling, “Run” for our lives…………….

Alex Cross is a favorite, which makes James Patterson one too, but I have to say I was disappointed. Dr. Cross catches these guys by sheer dumb luck — their screwups — not because of any detective work he does.

I found the two serial killers uninteresting. They would have left behind mountains of forensic evidence, they essentially let Alex know who they are. Where’s the suspense? Then they basically let Creem know he is under surveillance when they don’t have enough evidence, rather than work to figure it all out.

Alex and the Washington PD don’t seem to know that drugs end up in your hair, and anyone wrongly accused of being on drugs can be cleared pretty easily.

And then a guy who is an expert sniper decides to go after Alex with a pistol and lets himself be seen beforehand?

Real potential in this one that went unrealized. Not that its a bad read, just that I kept waiting for the big suspense to get suspenseful and it never happened.
