Can’t imagine beating this price!,
I recently heard of “water beads” at my local county fair. I bought about a tablespoon’s worth for $3.50 simply for the novelty of the item. A few months later I decided that I would like some more and shopped around quite a bit to find the best deal. I couldn’t find anything close to this price! In fact, the price was low enough that I prepared myself for disappointment (if it sounds too good to be true…). However, the product arrived promptly, and is exactly what I was looking for. The packaging isn’t anything fancy (a clear plastic bag inside another bag) but I wasn’t buying the product for the packaging anyway. Very happy and plan to buy more.

Awesome product!,
The beads came in an umarked bag. I immediately took some out to soak them in water. They soaked up the water right away and I did not have to wait overnight to see results. I recommend only using purified or distilled water because tap water leaves a residue on the beads. I am using the beads to fill vases as centerpieces and am putting a white submersible light in each vase to illuminate. They look beautiful! If you want an inexpensive, yet elegant looking filler, I suggest you use water beads.

these things swell like crazy,
seriously – use about a tenth of what you would expect to use. these beads start out at 3-4mm in diameter and swell to 12-15mm. they hold water a long time – they take about a week to collapse back down to their original size when left out of water. neat polymer stuff!
