The Tiny House Revolution: A Guide to Living Large in Small Spaces
Living Large in Small Spaces Homeownership is the “American dream,” and it’s quite apparent that we are comfortable with dreaming big. Americans have always built the largest homes on the planet. Recently, however, there has been a quiet undercurrent bucking that trend. Some have questioned what all of this extra space is really buying us (apart from a larger mortgage). Some among us are wondering if there isn’t a better way of living out there. The Tiny House Revolution Inside, you’ll l

☮Tiny House, BIG Benefits ♫,
While it is true that I have previously seen a LOT of this information in articles online I only withheld one point (star) for that, and included the fact that the book is pretty small for the amount that WILL be charged ($2.99) after it is no longer free in that one star deduction. I based this on the fact that the world, as we know it, IS changing, few Americans can afford to continue to live as luxuriously as we have, as a nation, in the past, and this is GOOD INFORMATION – something ANY family, large or small could incorporate into their lives and come out ahead in the process.
“Tiny Houses” no longer have to look and feel like the ‘cracker box’ houses of our grandparents and great grandparents first homes – thus called because they were usually built into a box shape, VERY small and cramped. (Don’t let the photo on the cover of this book ‘fool’ you, there ARE many styles to choose from and they do Not have to look like an old ‘shed’, like the cover of this book depicts.)’Back then’ few considerations were given to make their ‘tiny homes’ into something that was pleasing to the eye at first glance, from outside, they were just square shaped houses that were ‘dressed up’ with plants and flowers and a good looking yard. Todays tiny homes can be made to be VERY cute even from the outside. The insides are usually so well organized the hidden resources for putting away EVERYTHING you would need to live cozy and comfortable (in small quarters) makes living in a small dwelling an adventure.
If you are a new family, just starting out, or an established family, you would do well to consider a ‘tiny home’ and this book can set you on the road to begin. You will need to do further research to complete your own adventure, but I sincerely feel that this is a decent introduction to some of today’s financial problems Americans are facing.
If we did not already own our own home (not a tiny house, but not huge, either) we WOULD consider building a tiny house. I’ve lived in and owned mini mansions, HUGE ranch style homes, and even a cracker box house. ‘Tiny’ is a great way to live…
Sincerely,
Reba K.

Much to think about…,
There are lots of things to consider when thinking about a major downsize to a tiny house but there are as many pluses as there are minuses.
Tiny houses aren’t for everyone but as the author points out, it gives a lot of people an opportunity to be a home owner that might not be able to afford a big mortgage, it saves on resources and it makes people think twice about what things are most important.
It’s an interesting book to read, even if you’ve only given tiny homes a passing consideration.

GOOD BEGINNING STEPS,
This is a good little book for the first thoughts on living small. Most of the information is simple logic you are already thinking about.
