This is the best quality tape for all temperature ranges. It is thick and can almost create a waterproof seal when used in boat and automotive applications. It simply is not worth the aggravation to have cheap Chinese tape crack and come apart in the cold or slide apart and get gooey in the heat. Use good quality Made in USA tape one time, and it will cure you forever from trying to save 2 cents per foot with cheap tape.

The best electrical tape I’ve used so far, February 26, 2010

I do random electrical work, and a lot of electrical and mechanical work with cars and motorcycles, stereo installs, whatever comes up, etc. I haven’t used cheap electrical tape for at least 12 years since I first found how much better the higher quality tapes are.

I now only use scotch 33+ tape, or the Scotch 88 if I need a thicker tape (I usually use the 88 on my motorcycle and auto work since it’s thicker and more protective against both moisture and heat/cold.)

When wrapped correctly I’ve never had it come off, it’s simply excellent.

This is a great product, and it’s holding up in day to day heat. I’ve used it for some automotive fixes like the base of the windshield, rubber sticking out of the fender well, door sill area, etc… I have a black car so it matches very well. I also used to wrap the base of my water hose (where the hose connects to the faucet) outside because it was leaking water. It’s nice to know that this can withstand higher 220 farenheit temperatures vs. the other black vinyl electrical tape I previously bought, which helps against the adhesive getting gooey, so I’ve heard. This is also very easy to use (can apply several times if you’re trying to get a perfect fit, and can push out air bubbles very easily). It blends in well cosmetically for visible repairs.

Heavy on maintenance, showing what to look for when servicing a starter. Light on wiring diagrams and troubleshooting. If your job is to maintain starters and motor controls, then this book is for you. However, if your job is to troubleshoot these things, then you will get very little from this book.
