Very good lighter. I would give it four and a half stars if I could. But the top is very slightly off-center (about a hair) and the Zippo click sounds a little off. I know it is picky but this is a Zippo! It should be perfect. In the same shipment as this lighter I also got a Zippo Armor High Polish Brass Pocket Lighter and that one is perfect. It also comes in brushed brass Armor Brushed Brass. So unless you are dead set on a historical replica buy one of those.

Bought one of these back in the day and had it for years…and Im the kind of person that more often than not looses smaller objects like this. Well, my house got broken into and it was stolen, and I have to say that it was the one thing I missed the most. I took the plunge and bought another one and couldn’t be happier!

The finish on the case is superb. Brushed on the front and back face with a very smooth polish on all sides. The actual lighter insert on the inside is also brass as well for those wondering. Its exactly as I remember it, but still feels new in every sense. The hinge I found to be loose in the fact that it opens easily and comes all the way back…however, it is not loose in movement from side to side…just like they were when they were first made. This easy opening and swinging all the way back is probably what the first reviewer is talking about…it is completely normal and nothing to be upset/worried about!

Overall, in my opinion, this is the best Zippo ever made, at least out of the countless number of ones Ive owned. If you are looking for a Zippo with high grade fit and finish – as well as one thats just plain sexy, look no where else! 5 star + + +!!!

The insert is only brass plated and after it is opened and closed a few times, and I stress few, it begins to show. The case itself is actually brass. At first the top fit perfectly but after two weeks in my pocket it became misaligned.

Other than those complaints, it’s a zippo and there’s not much else to say about that.
