Disco Light Show,
I purchased this spotlight because I was impressed with the 36 Led option. I missed in the description that for “color” it says “colorful”. That’s an understatement and the description is rather misleading. Added to that, the photo shows clear bulbs yet the actual product’s colored bulbs (even while unplugged) are clearly visible.
So what does colorful mean?
It’s like a “light show” – in invervals of a few seconds, it shifts between about a variety of options that you have no control over – red/green, blue, red/yellow/white. The colored bulbs are on the outer edges of the spot light and the center bulbs are white so a steady “white” spotlight is maintained throughout the color transitions. It “is” bright which is what I wanted and expected from a 36 led spotlight, but the colored lightshow was very unexpected.
Design (pardon my non-technical description)
1) The “plug” for the spotlight is roughly 3.5″ long. I have a powerstrip that has three outlets. In the past, I used one for a fountain, one for a spotlight, and the third was an extra. The spotlight’s “plug” is so long, that I can’t use the powerstrip because it “blocks” the two remaining outlets.
2) The light has section cups. That would work well for a tank but does little for pond use. Other pond lights (i.e. one made by Laguna) are designed in a way that the light can be “weighted” so that it stays underwater. With this product, if you want the ight to be underwater, you’ve got to creative.
Quality
I don’t know if this is a real “vktech” product or a knock-off. It came in an unmarked box with no documentation of any sort (i.e. instructions or warranty). Lacking any warranty info means you’re plain out of luck if the product fails prematuraly.
Conclusion
For a 36-led spotlight, this product is being sold at a great price but keep in mind there’s no warranty (not so cheap if you have to replace it in months). If you’re looking for bright and festive lighting, you might enjoy it.

color lights,
we are really enjoying the light show in the pond & water feature. I chose these for that effect and am very pleased with the results. I would refer anyone looking for the same to these lights.

Cool Underwater light,
I bought this to go on my dock to attract fish. We are in “green water” so any color changes at night, bring in the bait fish. I know these are made for Koi ponds etc., but this works well as an underwater dock light too. We also took it out of the water and hung from the frame of the Gazebo (pointing down) and made it into a small dance area – pretty cool.
It has 4 small suction cups on the bottom and the power cord is in 2 pieces about = total about 8′ long / uses 110V power supply.
