I like the hints. Not so appropriate for California, but good. Short, but very nice tips. Has a lot of links to help out with planning.

This work, while breaking no new ground for gardening does cut through some of the, um, crud out there concerning gardening with a very common sense approach to growing food at home. For instance, if you don’t LIKE a particular vegetable, don’t grow it. Duh, but how many people plant things in valuable garden space just because they are supposed to plant that crop? Other tips includ dealing with problems in the garden like dealing with pests (which can be man, animal, bug, or plant) in rather simple and effective ways. Good for those not yet exposed to square foot gardening and who may be burdened with grandma’s garden techniques. Be efficient, be thoughtful, and be productive instead of copying someone else’s ideas!
