Every Spring comes the “water in the basement” drill and it lasts a month or so. Shop vac floor, empty into pails and lug up the stairs to empty. Now, with this machine and a 100 ft. hose leading up to the first floor and out the garage, the bucket business is over. It pumps faster than I can vac (water is maybe max 1/4 in. deep at any time) and has made the whole process, while still not a joy, certainly much easier and faster (also less cussing). I have used it twice a day for 30 min. or so each time for the past 40 days. A few notes: the assembly instructions are not what I’d call user friendly so it took longer than necessary to figure out the wet vac operation. Also, the hoses come apart a bit too easily. These are small compared to its advantages and a very reasonable cost.

Basement floods after heavy rains. This last rain basically flooded it all with 3-4 inches throughout. This is a miracle for my back. No more dumping into buckets (using a 3 gallon shop-vac) and hauling outside. Just attach a garden hose and takes no time at all. Until i can get a permanent fix for the flooding, this makes life much easier. Product works as described.

I have owned this for about a year, cleaning out several fountains and small ponds each month. The sucking power is great. But I have a few complaints. The reason I got this is the “built-in pump” that will send water out after the tank is full. This works so-so. Sense it only comes on “automatically” when it senses the tank is full, it sometimes fails to work properly. I have to hold the power button on or the auto-shut off will kill the vacuum. This happens about half the time. Annoying. I wish they had just put an on/off button for turning on the pump. Also, they made the clips that hold the top part to the tank very weak — if the tank has water in it and you lift the vacuum up, the clips pop off and you end up holding just the top part of the unit… usually spilling water everywhere. Annoying. The tool caddy is useless — such as if you wrap the cord around where they want it to go, you can’t take the top part off and on without tangling in the cord. Even with its annoying “features” this vacuum really sucks (in a good way) and thus I am glad to have it.
