Through the last years I have learned to pick an choose which James Patterson’s novels to read, especially since he started co-authoring..With “Second Honeymoon” I would say he has another hit on his hands….This is such a fast paced, psychological/thriller you won’t want to stop turning the pages…The in-depth characterization, the pairing of returning suspended FBI Agent, John O’Hara and new Agent Sarah Brubaker was brillant…They each complement each other’s personality which adds an element of “humor” to the story..((I don’t know but I never found a serial killer novel funny before, so it’s a strange mix))..Which I think you needed with all the pressure they are under trying to identify and catch two psychotic serial killers at the same time..It’s is an actioned packed, fun rollercoaster ride all the way to the shocking end..This is a stand alone novel you don’t have to read the first to understand what’s going on here…The plot flows seamlessly and all ties together in the end..

This is not just about the “Second Honeymoon” serial killer case it’s even better…Now we have the “John O’Hara” serial killer on the loose..Well, Agent John O’ Hara was just as surprised to see his name on the CNN News Channel when he turned it on..Pray that’s not your name because the killer will not stop until he finds the right one..He is out to avenge his sister’s death and just hearing that name triggers long dormant, painful memories..But there is a link between the two cases and that’s when Agent Sarah Brubaker gets involved..Through her investigation, she digs through past FBI solved files and comes across the “HoneyMoon” serial killer case from yrs ago..She realizes he was the agent who solved that case and was personally hired to find the murderer, of “newlyweds” Ethan and Abigail Breslow..They are not the only ones on their honeymoon, happily in love and taking their “Vows” serious “until death do us part…..

Who knows by the end John O’ Hara may be just going on his “Second Honeymoon”, if they survive……

(I highly recommend this novel for all those who want a break from the summer romances)This is just my opinion eveyone has a right to their own….

As usual, Janes Patterson had me turning pages and not wanting to put the book down. This book, co-authored by Howard Roughan was a real thriller full of twists and turns. Very good read.
