Seems to work well,
I had no real difficulty installing this, and it does appear to work properly. However, if you have a fan that was not originally controlled with a dimmer, trying to put it onto a dimmer is not likely to go well. I learned this the hard way, as the fan now has a distinct “hum” to it when I turn on the dimmer, which reduces slightly as I move it closer to full power but never completely goes away. After a bit of research it turns out most ceiling fans do not mix with dimmers, as they need a certain minimum amount of power just to run the motor properly. I’d unfortunately already thrown away the packaging after installing the switch, so I can not return it and will need to replace it before fan season hits again.
