iPhone 5 USB Cable + Car Charger 5V 1A White + AC Wall Charger Adapter for iPhone 5, December 15, 2012

You get what you pay for….

The car charger gets too hot when in use and the smell of burnt or burning wire permeates the air. I can’t use this. I have to assume that something is seriously wrong with the car charger portion of this device. The other concern is that the other items (USB Cable, Wall Charger) might be of such inferior quality that they are going to short out my new phone.

I’m worried to use the products and at $11.55 total cost including shipping I can’t afford to return it because the cost of shipping it back to China would be more than the entire purchase price.

    I guess I’m stuck with a lemon.

PS~ The wire shorts out my phone when I use it. It also sparked today in an outlet at work. When others saw that I couldn’t even give it away. So I threw it away.

I’m buying apple products. But no more cheap knock offs.

The cable fit the iphone but the car charger was too small for my car lighter, I don’t know why they would manufacure and sell something before making sure it would fit!

A great player, but aspect ratios are messed up on mp4 material, December 21, 2011

The design of this player is really good. However, when used on the Kindle Fire to play my own mp4 files of films and shows there is a major problem. The problem is that mp4-encoded films that are in widescreen format are force-fitted to the Fire’s screen in a way that messes up the displayed aspect ratio. All the films that I have tried to play were rendered with an aspect ratio that was about 16% too “tall”, causing everything to look stretched vertically. For instance, a film with a true aspect ratio (correctly rendered from the same mp4 file as 2.385:1 on my PC and on an iPad) was rendered on the Fire as 2.068:1. Another film that had a true aspect ratio of 2.237:1 was rendered as 1.987:1. I find this “squeezing” of the image to be so annoying that I have given up trying to watch films on the Fire using my own mp4 files. (Amazon-coded films, bought from Amazon, do not suffer from this problem.)

I suspect that the root cause lies within Amazon’s code, not in this particular app, since the same problem occurs with the Fire’s native video player. However, I make this comment here in the hope that the developer of this app will put pressure on Amazon to either (a) fix the underlying problem, or (b) tell them how to correct for the issue within the video player app.

i just got my Kindle Fire and immediately set out to find a media player to handle my photos and music. I found this app in the App store and gave it a try. I could not be happier. It has a slick, easy interface that makes navigation among and between all of the media I have effortless. I recommend this app without reservation!

Great little viewer for the Kindle Fire!, November 27, 2011

Looked around for a reputable media player for the Kindle Fire and stumbled across this one. Great app on a little machine, found all video, photo and audio files for me to decide what I wanted to do next. Tapped “Play” and it scrolled through my photos just loaded on the K-Fire. Great App!
