Really, black and white?,
All the pictures are black and white and of poor quality. The book looks like something out of the 50′s or 60′s. This book needs some serious updating. I am returning for refund.

An excellent guide to commercial / advanced home hydroponics,
This book is not for the faint of heart. If you’re considering hydroponics at home or on your small farm ( like we are ) , some of the images of big commercial farms will be daunting / inspiring. The book is well thought out and contains a lot of useful, detailed information about commercial hydroponic systems. I also recommend the companion “Hydroponics: Questions and Answers” by the same author.

Amazing Comprehensive Book,
This book is immensely comprehensive, comparable to another plant bible, Handreck and Black’s “Growing Media for Ornamental Plants and Turf”. The style of this book is similar, somewhat dry yet microscopic in its coverage of everything hydroponic. There are many informative photographs, diagrams, and case studies of companies that built hydroponic systems to maximise space used and streamline production flow. However, because of the advanced nature of the discussion (mixing your own nutrients, constructing nutrient injector systems, and other more advanced topics) it is best to use a simpler primer to be introduced to hydroponics.
