I like this product. It makes a fun gift but it’s probably a bit overpriced for what is essentially just a thin piece of mat and a toy putter. An alternative golf gift I found is “The Little Book of Indoor Putting Games” because you can play it at home too but it actually helps you improve.

What a clever item! I love this thing, its great fun. Though dont expect your putting game to get any better because of it. But seriously, all the parts were there, it arrived on time, its easy to wash, and guests sides will be split when they go to use your bathroom, even if its not a #2. Toilet not included.

Cottonelle is a good brand but this particular item is substantially lighter/smaller than the grocery store ones you are used to buying. It appears it’s a special smaller diameter roll compared to the 12 packs in the grocery stores. I compared it to one I bought at the grocery and it was not only lighter in weight but labeled with fewer sheets than the grocery packaging. I assume it’s a special promotional item made for Amazon to sell at what would appear to be a better price. It appears to be about the same value or maybe a little less but no big savings.
I cancelled my subscription and will purchase it at the local grocery. It gets 3 stars because of the product description which sounds like it’s the one you buy at the grocery when it’s actually a lighter, smaller, bait and switch replacement, IMO. Cottonelle itself is a good brand.

When I initially considered signing up for the Subscribe & Save program for this item it was listed as $6.97. This was before the 15% off promotion which reduced it to $5.97. Now I see that it lists at $10. This is ridiculous. At my local grocery store this item lists for $7.69 for the exact same size. All of a sudden toilet paper increases in cost by 30%? I feel like Amazon is trying to scam me and I’m really irritated. No more Subscribe & Save for me.
The product is fine – it’s toilet paper, for heaven’s sake. I’m thankful it does the job. Actually, of all the toilet paper brands, I would say that Cottonele is my favorite.
So my rating is not based at all on the product – it is based on the price which is outrageous.

|This “ULTRA” Toilet Paper Might Clog Your Toilet. Very Thick!,
Normally we use the regular Cottonelle double rolls. Finally decided to try this Ultra version when it was on sale. Everyone in my family commented on how soft it was. BUT, it is also very thick which is I guess what makes it so soft. As soon as we switched to this one, the next day my son had trouble getting it to flush down the toilet. The same evening my husband overflowed the toilet when he flushed. It’s just too thick. If you have a low flow toilet or maybe bad water pressure or a toilet that doesn’t flush well AVOID this toilet paper. Our toilet is not low flow and it flushes very well; just not with this ULTRA Cottonelle toilet paper(or maybe we just use too much of it). Of course, if you are very environmentally conscious and only use 3-5 square at a time I don’t see that you would have a problem with it.
There, I did it! I never thought I would write a review of toilet paper. If you decide to try it just make sure you have your toilet plunger handy.
Note: This is an honest review of the toilet paper. The facts are real. Also, these are NOT double rolls.
Comment: There are also less squares on the ULTRA(175) as opposed to the regular Cottonelle(225 I think) so you’ll use it up a lot faster.
UPDATE 2/2013: If you disagree with my review and like this toilet paper, one good thing is that Amazon has added this to their “Add-on” program which means you can get it at a reduced price if you spend at least $25 on products sold by Amazon. Get it for another 5% less if you click the “Subscribe & Save” button–you can always cancel your subscription after you place the order. It’s great having toilet paper shipped right to you front door.
