Do not let the one poor review here put you off watching this documentary. It has high reviews on other websites that feature this episode. The only con is, it needed to be longer, and I’m not the only person who has said this. Though a few things were a little off.. such as Americans using pumpkins for Jack-o-lanterns.. this gives the impression that people “native” to America did this. When, in fact it was Irish immigrants, as they were the only ones that had this tradition. The Jack-O-Lantern being from their own mythology of Stingy Jack. They also started the pranking traditions, but that is accurately covered. ^_^

We rented this to get the real history of Xmas. We have seen Xmas unwrapped, and hoped this was in the same genre. It was not. It was more of a Xmas show, and didn’t give much in the way of pertinent information. I would not recommend this one, but I would Xmas unwrapped.

I purchased this book to read to my young grandchildren when I did a “Nana’s Leprechaun Camp”. It is a fun little story that kept their interest and got them excited about leprechauns.

Great little book. Bought this book for my grandaughters first st patricks day. It is so cute she will be able to handle the little pages. Nice printing so that when she is able to read the lettering isn’t so small and easy for older peaople to read. I’ve purchased many books from amazon, great prices and they stand by there merchandise. I hope who ever buys this book enjoys it with there chicldren or granchildren.
