The Best Mouse Pad (seriously), January 13, 2012

Don’t pay any attention to the beach photo. The beach gimmick is not what this mouse pad is about.

This is literally the best mouse pad I’ve ever used. I’m in IT, so I’ve tried many different pads, but keep coming back to this one (both for myself and for my clients). It’s been kind of a best-kept-secret for me for the past couple years. I hope the price doesn’t go up now that I’m telling everyone how awesome it is.

It has a high-quality neoprene non-skid backing, as well as an equally high-quality mousing surface made of durable flexible plastic.

One thing that makes this pad the best is that it’s extremely thin. I hate thick mouse pads that look clunky, angle your wrist upwards more than necessary, and cause you to feel the pad’s edge often during use. This pad is about 1/2 to 1/4 the thickness of a standard mousepad. I measure 3.5mm.

Another thing that sets this pad apart is the surface, which is a quality plastic with a very subtle texture that’s easy to clean and doesn’t absorb moisture (such as coffee drips), and it’s easy to wipe clean of dirt, crumbs, liquid, etc. It makes for a much smoother mousing experience than cloth-covered pads, and the surface never separates from the backing the way those cloth surfaces tend to, even after years of use.

And, overall, the pad just feels like a quality product.

    Cons:

    - The beach picture. The product photo looks nice online, but when you see this thing in real life, it’s just not good. It’s too dark and looks like it has a greenish haze over the whole thing. So my one wish is that this pad had more design options. A uniform non-gimmicky design would’ve been better. This is a high-quality pad that deserves a subtle, quality print on its surface.

    - Shipping cost. If you have Amazon Prime it’s no problem, but (at least for the past couple of years) the shipping price has been exorbitant for such a small, light, non-fragile product. I’d still pay the elevated price because it’s such a uniquely-great pad outside of the hardcore (and high-priced) gamer market, but it would be nice if the shipping cost simply reflected the actual cost of shipping, and no more.

It is regular mouse pad, it looks just like in the photo, the design it the same, bright color very detailed, I use a laser mouse, and it works great with it. It is a very good value.
    Thanx,
    Tanya

quality product looks grat on my desk and really has helped my “mouse issues” so much i realize it wasnt the MOUSE that was the problem. glad i took a chance on the mousepad instead of shelling out for new mouse!
